Hi everyone, today I’ll review the film “Bread and Roses”, this is a film about a Mexican immigrant who get a job as a janitor in a building, the first part of the movie it’s focus on the new life of Maya in The USA, a country with heavy problems with racism.  Especially when we talk about the work conditions of the Mexican people in USA. Cause they receive humiliation from her boss Perez, with low wages and no social benefits. This plot makes the movie great and gave the movie a social valor for all those who fight against the system, the unjust system that the entire world recently lives, in capitalism.
I’ll confess that my favorite character is Sam Shapiro, play by Adrian Brody, for one particular reason, he brings the organization from this poor worker, and tell them to fight against this unjust laboral condition, he promise them that they’ll have better wages, social benefits and better charges. Basically, he brings hope for this people, the hope to fight against the capitalism, at least, as my point of view.
Now, the one thing that I like is the plot, but, the thing that I really don’t like is that the movie use the same bad stereotype of the Latino people, show them as drunk, not so smart, black, fat, ugly, with facial features as Indians and as lazy people. That’s the stuff that makes me hate a lot of the movies that came from USA.

The most powerful, emotional and favorite scene in the movie is when Maya sister tell him about his betrayal and how managed to get the job for Maya, it’s a very emotional scene that makes you cried, ‘cause for show the cruel world that some people live
